Well, why not go to Graceland. As a regular mortal I know that I'm only going to live once so since I've never been I decided to take the boy down south a bit and have some music and BBQ adventures.
This is the story of that trip.
This trip started out like any other... with the oil changed and the tires filled up... and of course mocking Dad...
Yep, He can fill a tire too...
Even made sure the spare was inflated...
So after all that, we hit the road. The drive was pretty uneventful. We slept on the road some and I drove a lot, but we finally made it to St. Louis, MO for our first bit of the adventure.
We went and spent some time in the old court house. There are exhibits about the history of St. Louis in there and it's an interesting building architecturally I guess, but the most interesting thing I thought was that it was the court house where Dred Scott trial was held.
After completing the Junior Ranger program there, we had a bowl of red beans and rice and headed for the arch. Jasper was a bit nervous about going up there, but warmed up to it before too long. There's also a museum underneath it so we spent some time there taking that in as well (and working the Junior Ranger program too of course).

Looking like a good trip so far. I'm not sure if I would go to the top of the arch...yayaaaa.
